Business Operations Associate (m/f/d)

ATAI is a Berlin, New York and London based biotech company builder with the ultimate vision to cure mental health disorders. We focus on developing solutions for people that suffer from a real unmet medical need; starting with the 320 million people who suffer from depression. We are particularly interested to revive and leverage the existing research on treatments with prior evidence for efficacy and safety in humans, such as psilocybin and ketamine, to initiate a paradigm shift.

Our Business Operations Associates are essential to ATAI’s decentralized platform approach. They are at the spearhead when founding the entity needed to develop incubated or acquired treatments.

  • Support project management and operations on ATAI Level
  • Take-over hands-on project management and ensure all work-streams are up-to-date and deadlines are met
  • Operationally grow subsidiary ventures that ATAI acquires or invests in
  • Manage vendors and provide consolidated reports to ATAI GVD management
  • Prepare financial reports to manage cash position and burn of our drug development subsidiary ventures
  • Initiate best-practice and knowledge sharing to ensure that high quality standards are applied and maintained across our subsidiary ventures
  • Produce financial, industry, and competitive analyses for ATAI and subsidiary venture management


  • Outstanding academic track-record from a top-tier university
  • 1-3 years of experience in top-tier management consulting required
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent Project Management and Excel skills
  • Comfortable in fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and limited structures
  • Ability to successfully function in a matrix organization
  • Excellent written communication, presentation and English language skills
  • Whenever necessary willing to roll-up-sleeves and multi-task in order to thrive in a growing environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Advanced German skills and prior operations experience are a plus
